Faults:

The wiper motor is sluggish and barely moves the wipers.

Some of the light lenses are cracked.

The front window and rear window rubbers are cracked and shrunken.

The luggage compartment won't open with the lever.

There are no seat-belts in the car, this really surprised me - I thought it was illegal.

General Comments:

I just bought the car. It was sold new in California, then went to Oregon. I had it transported to Arizona.

It was originally beige but was repainted red. The interior is still beige. It does not have the sunroof.

A previous owner fitted a Fiat Spyder exhaust manifold and Abarth muffler. It also has a non-standard twin-choke Weber carburetor.

Apart from the faults listed, the car is in amazing condition for a 40-year old car.

I desperately need an ENGLISH owners manual or a copy. Can anyone help?

Faults:

The seats have started to wear badly making the journey not so comfortable.

Rust seems to creep in everywhere I have had to replace some panels and do some welding to the underside of the car.

I have had some minor electrical faults in 1997.

The starter motor has been replaced twice once in 1990 and again in 1996.

Engine has needed reconditioning once in 1983.

I had to replace the radiator in 1986 after the car overheated.

Clutch went in 1992.

General Comments:

This car is nice to drive and very economical despite all the problems I have had in the past.

The cabin is not all that comfortable, but it does look nice and so does the outside of the car.

It is designed for town usage and I suggest you don't use it as a high speed cruiser.

I would advice you to keep the car well serviced otherwise it will give you a lot of trouble.

Faults:

Cylinder head gasket was replaced at 90K km.

Camshaft chain replaced.

Brakes were retrofitted, included new master cylinder, new pistons... All done by myself.

The car is now 34 years old and running like new :-)

General Comments:

Simple classic car for everyone, who looks for a nice weekend car. It was my first car. I thought I'll keep her only for short time, but I fell in love with this little rascal. Now I drive her very seldom as my second car. I think, there will be always place for her in my garage. The car is little bit slow, noisy and uncomfortable, but looks great, so who cares... It's a headturner.
