I flew with Aviajet last July for my holiday to Barbados. The flight out was on board a lockheed L-1011 which was leased by Aviajet from Euro Atlantic Airways. It was horrific. This particular aircraft went out of production in 1983. During take off there was water gushing from a light fixture. The air conditioning was broken, the seats were unbelievably cramped and the service was a disgrace.

The return flight was on board a Boeing 767-400 owned by Aviajet. Just before take off the captain informed us that the flight would take longer than normal, we weren't given a reason. He then proceeded to inform us that there were no blankets or pillows on board and that we had every right to complain to Aviajet about this.

During the flight we were informed of the on board bar service. When it came round we discovered that there was no float and only exact change would be accepted. It clearly stated on the menu that travellers cheques were accepted, but anyone who tried to offer them were told different.

Half way through the journey people started to enquire about the in flight entertainment. They were quickly informed that there would be none as the entertainment system was broken.

A little later in the flight the toilets had to be closed due to a problem with the sanitry tanks. When they were open earlier in the flight there was no toilet paper in sight.

As with the flight out, the seats on this aircraft were equally as cramped. In fact they were so cramped I had deep marks in my knees.

All in all a horrible experience and all I got from my holiday company was a page of poor excuses. I'll know better in future!
