I decided to fly BA to see what a world famous airline can do compared to HellasJet, Olympic and Lufthansa do on the same route. The bad things started from checkin at Heathrow's Terminal 4. It was chaotic and we were there 2 hours before the flight. I knew we were flying a big aircraft (Boeing 767) so I requested a window seat and the aisle seat next to it for me and my friend. I was told that all window seats were already taken (2 hours prior boarding, yeah right!).

Once I boarded the aircraft I saw that there were many window-aisle seats vacant after boarding was completed so I kindly asked to be moved and I did. The overhead bins were full and I kept my small bag in front of me, but a FA told me that it had to be stored so she took it and literally threw it in a closet at the galley. I had my Digital camera and a bottle of whisky in it. Thankfully nothing broke, but I had to argue with her about it.

We waited and waited only to be informed by the captain that he requested a tyre change and that we had to wait for one to be found and installed before the departure. It took BA 2 hours (!!!) to find a spare tyre for a 767 in their base and 15' to install it. We had to stay in the aircraft for all that time. Of course they apologised and kept us entairtained with IFE. To sum up the rest of the flight, the food was auful and inedible in my opinion compared to other airlines, service was OK, seats were comfortable enough and IFE was good.

I would not fly this airline again because it felt poor compared to what an airline like BA can do.
