Taken January 2005 from Toronto, ON (Lester B. Pearson International Airport) - YYZ to Newark, NJ (Newark International Airport) - EWR

Because of onward flight plans - although all with Star Alliance - spread over several individual tickets, the check in staff could have refused to route our luggage to the final destination, but she was efficient and helpful and courteous. A true professional.

The A320 was clean with pleasant decor and comfortable seating. Newspaper and Head Phones for a 55 minute flight. The snack offered should have been dumped. A danish pastry so cold it was frozen and stale. This was an early morning departure, so a snack was needed because the security at Toronto Airport and the fact that you have to pass US Immigration and Customs there makes for a long wait between check-in and boarding plus the fact that you have to carry all your luggage through these procedures and there are only 3 x ray machines. Pearson must also be one of the worlds worst airports.

The crew were not friendly or unfriendly, but what made me cringe was the Stewardess in our section continuously chewing gum. Very upmarket crew on AC.

The landing was good, but the approach was something else. Long time since I last flew AC - it will be longer next time... just for the gum incident alone or perhaps she had sneaked a bite at the Raspberry Danish!
