After recently moving to Calgary from Ottawa, naturally I was anxious to go home for the holidays. I had never heard of Jetsgo before, but they sounded alright and the price for roundtrip tickets seemed decent.

On my day of travel, Dec 23, there was a terrible snow storm in southern Ontario. I was concerned about making it home as my flight was directed via Toronto where I had to make a connection. In fear of not making the connection I booked another ticket with another airline that was a direct flight. When I arrived at the airport, willing to forfeit one of the tickets, the Jetsgo flight had already been delayed 4 hours. I took the other ticket and arrived ontime and happy. HOWEVER, my trip back was less than a pleasant experience.

After waiting 4 hours to get from Ottawa to Toronto, our flight arrived with 36 of the Ottawa-Toronto destined for Calgary. We were all told not to worry, that our flight was still there and we would all get on (there was already about twice as many people waiting in Toronto to go to Calgary who had been waiting 14 hours for a cancelled flight... they hadn't been told their flight no longer existed).

At 11:30 p.m., an hour after waiting, we were told that only 16 of the 36 could go... due to a lack of flight attendants. I actually managed to get on the plane. We finally arrived on the ground in Calgary at 3:36 a.m. The flight was scheduled for 9:30 p.m. Needless to say by 4:30 my luggage was nowhere to be seen and didn't show up until 2 days later. And going to work with a whopping 1 hour and 45 minutes of actual sleep under my belt did not make the best "first day back from holiday's" impression.
