Home > Astraeus > ReviewTaken January 2005 from London, England (Gatwick Airport) - LGW to Aqaba - AQJI flew from Gatwick to Aqaba on flight NoAEU 343 (a Boeing 737) on the 25th January 2005 returning on 1st Feb. Because I am 6'3" I asked for a seat in the exit row. After confirming my physical ability, the check in clerk offered us seats, supposedly, in the exit on either side of the aisle, which we accepted. On boarding we found we were in row 25. The seat for me was extremely uncomfortable and I was not able to stretch my legs, my knees were jammed against the seat in front. On return I was first the queue and again asked for an exit row, and was allocated 1A, which sounded good, but turned out to be a bulkhead seat where there is no room for your feet. Again I had a most uncomfortable flight of nearly six hours and frequently had to get out of my seat to stretch my legs, so disturbing other passengers. The food and service on the flight was very good and the flight was punctual, but I consider the while this fit may be acceptable for a 2 or 3 hour flight to the Med, it is not suitable for a 5 or 6 hour flight. The problem of DVD is also relevant. Whilst I realise that cost is all important I would happily pay more for a Premium class as offered by some other charter companies. | ||
