Taken January 2005 from Punta Cana - PUJ to London, England (Gatwick Airport) - LGW

Flew back from Punta Cana airport on 10th Feb 05 after a brilliant holiday. We were boarded over an hour before we left the stand. We booked Premium seats for the long haul flight. It does state that you will get back seat TV's or hand held DVD player. We got the hand held dvd. We were sat in row 2C, D and E and seats C and D were given a case of DVDs, but my dad who was sat in row E wasn't given any at all, neither did seats F and G. When he asked for his DVDs his was told that they had to be shared in an unpleasent manner. No one had told us this before then. Half of our DVDs were missing and the rest were very old films or children's films that were on at Christmas. There was a TV in front of row 1 but the seats were so high you couldn't even see the safety film at the beginning, which they say every one should watch. Whilst we could only watch old DVDs, the people in economy could watch the up to date films.

When we got our DVD players we asked for headphones and they said that we should still have them from the outbound flight, but we were not told that we needed them to come back, as we were meant to be supplied with the both ways as part of the price.

The food was bad for both meals, all dried and over cooked.

The seats were uncomfortably for a long flight and as it was an over night flight, the cabin crew had a bit of spare time and that sat up at the front behind a curtain and talked loudly the whole of the time and couldn't get any sleep.
