Taken February 2005 from Toronto, ON (Lester B. Pearson International Airport) - YYZ to Edmonton, AB (Edmonton International Airport) - YEG

I have given Jetsgo 4 chances now. 4. Every single time I fly them, there are major flight delays, surly service from all employees, and just general disarray in all aspects of the flying experience.

When I booked this flight, there were problems with the online booking system, so I had to call in to the centre to make my booking. It was about 11:00 at night here in Toronto, and I waited on hold for 90 minutes until an agent picked up. She was rude, unapologetic, and unable to answer questions I had about the supposed route to Abbotsford Jetsgo was supposed to start in the new year. She wouldn't even give me a number to call to find out more information. After my transaction was completed, she essentially hung up on me.

At Pearson, there were 3 agents working the desk with a lineup of 50 people. Once again, when I finally reached the desk, surly and rude behaviour entailed and the agent basically shoved me away after we were finished. I tried to find out why my flight was delayed an hour (which she didn't even have the courtesy to mention - I noticed it upon arrival) and she just sort of sighed and told me to go the gate for more information.

My flight was delayed for 6 hours. The plane was at the gate, but there were (as there always seem to be when I fly) "mechanical problems" and no compensation, not even a meal voucher, was offered in the interim. The gate agents stood there and gossiped and chatted and didn't even explain what was happening until somebody asked. Then she finally came onto the intercom to let us know - sounding quite upset that her conversation had been interrupted.

When we finally boarded the plane (the flight crew showing up 5 hours after we were supposed to depart as they knew about the delay), there was no greeting from any of the flight attendants. They just checked our slips and didn't even mutter hello - they were too busy conversing. It might be nice to say hello - I am helping to pay your salary. I was seated in the "Comfort Plus" section. What a joke. The only difference being that you have a bit more legroom, leather seats, and larger storage space. Still no free drinks, though, thank you so much. No food available at all - despite the extra time, there wasn't any on the plane. I guess they didn't want to have any requests for free food after having had us wait for 6 hours.

Flight attendants not remotely attentive nor professional. Looked like they would rather be anywhere, but where they were. One was even complaining quite loudly about how she didn't believe how she had to overnight in Edmonton - she was SUPPOSED to fly out East, but traded with someone. Sure is tough having a job...

Speaking of jobs, I'm sure there are people who work in the Jetsgo offices - but don't expect them to answer their phones if you have concerns. Expect to leave a voicemail several times and never get a response. Or if somebody does pick up the phone (which happened once in the 10, yes 10 times I called) they hang up on you if you have a complaint.

So take my word for it. The only way Jetsgo is able to fill their seats is with their sales - they have to sell their seats at below cost to fill them because of the abhorrent service. In my eyes, I don't care if they are giving away free flights. I will NEVER set foot on board a Jetsgo plane again. They are positively the worst airline I have ever had to deal with and do not take any responsibility for the disgusting attitude of their employees and obviously have no pride in their work. I sincerely hope that they return to the whole from which they crawled.
