Taken February 2005 from Paris (Charles de Gaulle) - CDG to San Francisco, CA (San Francisco International Airport) - SFO
Listed Flt. departure as 10:20 a.m. took of at 11:50 a.m. Aircraft was at the terminal when we arrived at 7:30 a.m. to go through check in and security. Crew served breakfast meal and disappeared into the galley or went down to the lower deck to sleep (four of them) for the entire trip. No in flight service offered, and passengers were on their own to get water or drinks from the service cart at rear of aircraft. When cart ran out, staff seemed put out if asked for ice or beverage refills. Trash uncollected and falling on the floor in galley. Bathrooms were dirty, and little if any effort to keep up with use or needs, without being asked. When told about trash in galley, crew member was rude and put out about comment. Supervisor was no help when I complained about crew attitude, no names to use in a complaint for security reasons. Demanded to see flight officer, and finally did an hour later. Call button was on at seat for over 30 minutes with no response. Flight officer came back and discussed events, crew was in cabin within 30 minutes offering beverages. Crew attitude was anti passenger all the way. No wonder airlines are having trouble. Next time I'll fly an American carrier so there will be an office in this country where a follow up can be sent. Landed over an hour late after 13 hour flight. Just "thanks for flying Air France" The worst public relations effort I have ever encountered. |
