Taken February 2005 from London, England (Heathrow Airport) - LHR to San Francisco, CA (San Francisco International Airport) - SFO
Managed to get a good deal with Expedia for a flight from Edinburgh to San Francsico via LHR for £380 all in, with United. Had flown with them before so knew what the general product was like. After reading all the United reviews its obvious that service is pretty inconsistent, but thought for the price, I can't grumble. BMI flight to LHR was bog standard, but after approaching the Star Alliance desk in T1 was served by a cheery chap who felt sorry for the fact I was 6'3 in height and changed my ticket to Economy plus (I've been told that you can't buy EP seats, its up-to the airline if they wanna sit you there) The extra room in the EP seats is quite good 35 or 36 inch pitch I could actually sleep and get comfortable.. Food was OK.. service was fine.. all in all a good flight. |
