After loading we were towed away from the stand... just to sit on the aircraft for 30 minutes... the engines had failed. We eventually were towed back to pier and then offloaded. After a 6 1/2 hour wait during which time no information was given by ground staff, the flight took off at 1.30am (after having to rebalance the wing tanks fuel load which took 1/2 hour). Due to the late take off we missed our link flight to Adelaide, we were unceremoniously dropped at an hotel in Denpasar at 3.30am and left the hotel at 8pm the following night. We eventually flew (over) and back via Melbourne to our destination of Adelaide... we arrived 27 hours late. At the moment we are raising a claim against Garuda for distress/inconvience and just bad service. | ||
