Home > Britannia Airways > 2005 > ReviewTaken January 2005 from Manchester, England (Ringway International Airport) - MAN to Papeete, Tahiti, Society Islands (Faaa) - PPTHow can I put this? Britannia, what have you done???!!! Where has the only true British charter with a great name, once BRITANNIA, gone to now?? Ahh yes, the corporate re-branding grave yard, that's where! Bad move I have to say. My flights with this once former great airline was now trying to lead the way by calling its self Thomsonfly.com, not a clever move when they fly us Fred Olsen cruise customers on our way to Tahiti, with the mention of another UK tour operator down their planes. Thomsonfly.com, as far I can say was created as a low-cost carrier, and they want to be known now under the same bracket. Not the best thoughts are conjured up when I'm going to the other side of the world on a £12000.00 cruise I'm affraid! These flights are very very long, so need sufficient comforting clean seats and cabins (on boarding) and a lot less noise on the PA system, with 'Appologies for this and that' everytime it goes off in-flight. Unfortunatly, this was not the case. The plane was substandard inside and looked extremely tired on the B767-300. It really was not like this just 18 months ago. So a big decline in cabin presentation. Just a final note, Britannia please come back and lead the way in what you did best, flying high above the rest in your former market, restore the Brits faith in you and stop copying the other charters, be individual as you once were please. | ||
