Booked a holiday to Kenya with African Safari Club, was abit nervous about flying with ASA as I had read so many bad reviews, checked in within 20 minutes of getting to the airport, when the flight was called we were held at the gate for 20 minutes as the Captain said that the aircraft could not arrive in Mombasa before 6am in the morning so the flight departed around 30 minutes late, but arrived in to Mombasa 30 minutes early.

The in flight entertainment is not that good only one film was shown so please take a good book or games. The meals were very standard airline meals a dinner just after take off then breakfast 1hr 30mins before landing. The Cabin Crew were very nice and helpful. After arriving in to Mombasa from leaving the plane to getting on the bus to transport us to our hotels it was about 35 minutes with I thought was excellent.

The return flight was a different story however, flight departed bang on time started take off and the aircraft had a bird strike. The plane took off very slowly dumped the fuel and returned to make an emergency landing in Mombasa. The plane was then rendered unusable and we were all bussed back to our hotels. From the time from getting off the plane to gettingon the buses it was only 1hr 30 minutes which I thought was excellent again, considering that they were not expecting the next lots of passengers till the morning after!. Unfortunately it took ASA 3 days to get us home after this incident, but they kept us well looked after in our respective hotels. The return flight was operated by Air Luxor - a comfortable flight again.
