We flew with Air Atlanta Europe on a Travel City Direct Charter flight to Florida on 17-3-2005 for 2 weeks. We were on the one and only Air Atlanta 747 with Travel City Directs logos.

The flight itself was fine, after a 6 hour delay, due to the aircraft being fitted with new seat covers in Amsterdam before arriving in Manchester to take us to Florida. The cabin staff were good and the service was excellent for the 9 hour flight. However, the landing into Sanford Airport was absolutely disgraceful, I have flown with my family to Florida in excess of 30 times and we have never ever had such an awful landing, the plane nearly landed on the grass, before landing very heavily on its left side, practically falling down onto its right wheels, veering to the right and hurtling down the runway, braking hard, resulting in some of the overhead lockers being flung open and most of the passengers feeling very shocked. The crew joked about the landing and advised us to be extremely careful when opening the lockers. Upon arriving at our gate the maintenance team were surveying the aircraft with torches, likely making sure there was no damage to the aircraft after the awful landing.

Anyway, having a great time in Florida, where I am writing this review from and looking forward to the return flight, this airline is highly recommended in terms of service and I would have no worries in flying with TravelCityDirect again, they are the best charter airline ever.
