Home > BWIA > ReviewTaken November 2004 from Manchester, England (Ringway International Airport) - MAN to Barbados (Bridgetown) (Grantley Adams International Airport) - BGIThe outbound flight was delayed initially for around 30 hours, but it eventually departed more like 36 hours late on a sub-chartered euroatlantic airways boeing 767. Fortunately I received a phone call the day prior to departing and as a consequence I "only" had to the additional 6 hour delay at Manchester. The cabin crew on the sub-chartered aircraft were indifferent, but the flightdeck crew were very helpful in assisting my girlfriend when the wheelchair assistance failed to arrive in Barbados. On top of everything else, it took over 2 hours to get the luggage! Return flight was on time and the service reasonable, but this remains on of the few long haul scheduled airlines I have flown on where the alcoholic drinks are charged for. Thankfully BMI are now operating to the Caribbean from Manchester. | ||
