Home > TAP Air Portugal > 2005 > ReviewTaken April 2005 from Faro - FAO to London, England (Heathrow Airport) - LHRVery impressed by TAP. Cabin crew very helpful - assisting single mother with her baby and helping people placing luggage into overhead lockers, good linguistically and happy to chat with passengers rather than lock themselves away after the first few minutes. They have marketed themselves as a middle of the road airline - providing comfortable seating and free drinks, but cutting food down to a roll and salad (which is quite ample for a 2.5 hour flight) - and doing a good job of it. The whole ambiance was pleasant and calm compared with the frenetic atmosphere of the cheap and charter flights on the same route. Planes used were A320 which were looking a bit old, but spotlessly clean with drop down screens with route map and some pointless (because they were silent!!) cartoons and feature films. Outbound was 10 minutes early and return 10 minutes late due to strong headwinds. For me it is good value at £10-15 more than the cheapies, but a pity they only fly to the London airports. | ||
