Home > United > 2005 > ReviewTaken April 2005 from Washington, DC (Washington Dulles International Airport) - IAD to Frankfurt (Rhein-Main) - FRAThis was my first time flying business class on United, and I was pleasantly surprised. The United lounge at Dulles is quite spacious and comfortable, and the plane was a 777 painted in the new United livery. On board, the European cabin crew were professional, polite and attentive without being fawning. While the seat was not a lie-flat seat, I found it very comfortable, especially since I stayed up for the duration of the flight in order to minimize jet lag while in Europe. The food was not particularly memorable -- merely adequate for a premium class -- although the warmed cashew nuts were a nice touch. The choice of programming available on the IFE system also seemed somewhat limited, but this is of course a subjective matter. Overall, it was an enjoyable flight and while United might not be my first choice for a future business class flight, I certainly would not be disappointed to fly them again. | ||
