Taken May 2005 from Washington, DC (Washington Dulles International Airport) - IAD to Sacramento, CA (Sacramento Metropolitan Airport) - SMF

This was a very pleasant set of flights with JetBlue. On the first flight, the air conditioning was not turned on until after most of the passengers had boarded, so the first few minutes on the plane were a little uncomfortable. That was soon remedied, however, and the rest of the flight went very smoothly. The seating was very comfortable, as I had booked seats at the rear of the plane, which has 34 inches of legroom compared to the 32 inches in the seats at the front of the plane. The DirecTV programming made the 5 1/2 hours pass by very quickly. The cabin crew were very friendly and offered snacks and drinks a number of times. Even though JetBlue does not serve meals, it is very generous with the wide selection of snacks it has available, and the cabin crew offer multiple helpings of both snacks and drinks (I especially enjoyed the Terra blue chips and the biscotti).

Overall JetBlue offers, in comparison with mainline carriers, generally superior, friendly service, superior legroom, superior IFE, superior and more generous catering (now that airlines have moved to buy-on-board offerings), and often superior pricing. If JetBlue flies a route I am flying, I will try to fly JetBlue.
