Home > SriLankan Airlines > ReviewTaken June 2004 from London, England (Heathrow Airport) - LHR to Colombo (Katunayake) - CMBI had never flown with Sri Lankan Airlines before, but was put at ease when I found out that they were partly owned by Emirates. I boarded a spotless Airbus A340 and found my seat. On this particular plane the seating arrangement is 2x4x2. I had requested a window seat, and as the plane was only half full, the seat next to me stayed empty. The entertainment on the seat back TV's was excellent, and I especially liked the downward looking camera. You could see the sand dunes in the deserts! The food was excellent and the fabulous service continued non stop throughout the flight. The return flight was nearly as good, but the flight was full and the aircraft was slightly older. Two main meals were served which were excellent. Only complaint is the metal boxes for the entertainment systems do restrict your foot room! | ||
