I have read reviews for Air India here. That was the reason I was a little afraid to take Air India flight to India from LA. But the competitive price and urgency pressed me to choose Air India's, new at that time, service from LAX to BOM via Frankfurt. Almost everything, food;service; timing; seating;entertainment; was nice. I would like to bring to attention the attitude of hostesses. They lack professionalism and courtesy. The men and women work on Air India flights have casual attitude and that does not work well, especially when there is intense competition. Cleanliness in toilets is problem created by passengers. Many Indian passengers flying on Air India flights have never used such toilets before in their life. I think it is a difficult problem to solve. On my return trip from Bombay to Los Angeles, we were total of 30 passengers on board Boeing 747. It was a great feeling. More than Royal treatment.
