Flew on G-MOND, Boeing 757-200 built in 1983. The aircraft appeared to be well maintained and its age did not concern me at all. The air hostesses were all cheerful and were very efficient. I didn't think much of the in-flight entertainment which was a program about the seven wonders of the industrialised world, but as headphones were complimentary I wasn't that bothered as you could listen to the radio instead. You got free newspapers, in-flight entertainment and hot towels, but meals had to be purchased - this ranged from crisps to sandwiches and full english breakfast, this being the most expensive at £5.00. We landed on time despite leaving twenty minutes late and I was very pleased with the service and value for money received. It was cheaper than the equivalent flight with easyJet, but this just had the edge as easyJet don't have papers & in-flight entertainment. I will be using Monarch again in the future. | ||
