Astraeus offer the only scheduled service from Manchester to Egypt with flights to Sharm El Sheikh. After a swift check in (with pre-assigned seats) we began boarding. Though the aircraft was small the interiors were well kept. Due to problems with finding a missing bag, departure was delayed by 20 minutes, but the purser kept us informed continuously. Soon after take off we reached our cruising height of 37000ft heading over France, Italy, Greece and then onto Egypt.

The flight itself was smooth and the meal was decent (lamb or vegetarian). The only niggling problem was the lack of legroom considering this was a 5 hour flight.

As we descended into Sharm we got fantastic views of the Sinai Mountains and landing was smooth.

Sharm Airport doesn't have airbridges so we disembarked using steps and were met by reps from Peltours.
