Home > CSA Czech Airlines > ReviewTaken January 2005 from Riga (Spilve) - RIX to Praha (Prague) (Ruzyne) - PRGAn excellent flight! This was a 0700 departure and would've normally required a 0600 check-in time, however, I was carrying a small dog in the cabin with me so I arrived earlier. Check in went very smooth, as I had all required documents for the dog (passport, shot record, and health letter dated 3 days prior) and I was soon through immigration and settled into the lounge. The Business lounge in Riga is used by all airlines and is very comfortable, with more munchies than the usual crackers and goldfish. On board the service was excellent and the staff was very accommodating towards my pet. The breakfast was hot and very interesting, some sort of Baltic fare, I suppose, but very good. Arrival was early, and as I had 4.5 hours wait for my transatlantic flight, it was off to the lounge for a rest. An interesting note, at the transient check-in desk I was quizzed by the agent regarding the carrier I was using for my dog, as she felt it wasn't an authorized carrier. When the supervisor was called she only asked if it was a "Sherpa" brand, which it was. Apparently this is one of the only cabin approved carriers for pets, as once the supervisor determined it was "Sherpa" we were on our merry way. | ||
