Taken August 2005 from Paris (Orly) - ORY to Nice (Cote d'Azur) - NCE

Easyjet's operations combine practical and fair policies, seemingly outright rip-offs, and bureaucratic attitudes of dubious validity:

In the fist category, their rules to change reservations are extremely generous:You can change flights for a small amount (24 Euros) plus the difference in price. You can even change flight segments. With the competition (On Paris-Nice, AF) you are more often than not prohibited any change and you lose the full value of an unused reservation.

When it comes to carrying golf bags, the matter is entirely different. While printed rules on your email confirmation clearly state that you are allowed one piece of sporting equipment up to 10 kgs for a modest fee, it isn't stated anywhere that you MUST book it in advance or be charged at the full extra baggage rate, i. e 80 euros one way. You would obviously win the argument in court, but who has time to bother?

Finally, all Easyjet crewmembers go into a frenzy whenever they see a cellphone operated inside the cabin, even on the ground when the aircraft does not move. There was a time when all airlines acted that way in order to cash in on their own overpriced installed phone service, but this is mostly gone. If American Airlines and many other US airlines permit the use of cellphones inside the cabin until the door is closed and as soon as the plane has landed, someone must have determined that it is a safe operation. Easyjet should take notice.
