Taken August 2005 from Bangkok (Don Muang International Airport) - BKK to Singapore (Changi International Airport) - SIN
First ever flight with this growing Asian low-cost carrier. The check-in at Bangkok was a bit chaotic. Everyone seemed to have huge amounts of baggage and allowances seemed to be ignored. No seat allocations, but unlike Europe where this leads to a rush for seats the Asians are quite laid back and boarding is orderly. All food and drinks had to be purchased with usual selection available. Comfortable leather seats on this Boeing 737-300. Flight was on time. The very low fares offered by this airline seem to be attracting many new passengers. The flight was full and many passengers were taking photos of one another and of the cabin interior. This gives the impression that they Air Asia have tapped a new market of first time flyers. A good experience with friendly cabin crew. |
