Home > United > 2005 > ReviewTaken January 2005 from Chicago, IL (Chicago-O'Hare International Airport) - ORD to Beijing (Peking) (Capital) - PEKOn this 12.5 hr transpacific flight United is using an aged and tired 747-400. Departure was on time and the plane was full. The economy seats are cramped and lack the personal screens now a norm on other carriers. Three meals were offered: A hot lunch (6/10), a mid-flight snack box (8/10) and a hot brunch (5/10). Several rounds of juice/water were also made. On transpacific United flights alcohol was free. The in-flight entertainment system was mediocre. Two movies were shown, one of which was shown two times! The flight attendants (almost exclusively female) can be described as overly-mature and motherly. Landing at foggy Beijing was on-time and silk smooth. Overall an OK flight. | ||
