Home > Aer Lingus > 2005 > ReviewTaken September 2005 from Dublin - DUB to New York, NY (John F. Kennedy International Airport) - JFKI'll start by admitting that I may be spoiled. My usual US-Europe flight experience is with Virgin Upper Class. But this time I was flying at short notice and on my own dime - so Aer Lingus it was. I saved $400 on the flight over Virgin Economy - but it was a false economy. Whilst the plane was new the entertainment system was not - no in seat screens here. Mind there was probably no room - seats were in a 3-4-3 configuration and this was one FULL airbus. Pitch was just about tolerable - but seat width was stingy. Food was provided, but snacks and alcohol cost - and the trolley was rarely seen. I can't remember being as thirsty on a flight ever. Crew were also of the 'hang out at the back and hope nobody hits the call button' mentality - and managed to remain pretty much invisible throughout the flight. Cabin temperature was set to 'unbearably hot'. In their defense we left and arrived on time... if tired. | ||
