Taken December 2000 from Los Angeles International LAX to Tokyo - Narita NRT

After we boarded the B744 we had a 1 hour delay because I am guessing their planes aren't maintained very well. I saw the lights at the side of the aisle were broken. Our landing gear was malfunctioning.

I received a lousy pair of headphones and had to wait a while before a flight attendent actually gave me a replacement.

I think their food is one of the best in the air and their entertainment is pretty good for economy class.

The flight attendents were so-so, I had expected better service from such a highly praised airline.

Other than that, no other problems.
