Taken October 2005 from Birmingham, England - BHX to Larnaca - LCA

Once again using MyTravel (MYT557) to visit Cyprus. but this time a morning flight at 0700hrs.Our aircraft was an A320-231 Airbus reg G-VCED, and although gave indications of its age (I believe built in 1993) it was in good shape, clean and in full MyTravel livery. Leg room was more than average for charter, certainly more than the industry minimum.

Although fully boarded on time, we departed 25 minutes late due to previous traffic. Take off from runway 15 was smooth and we climbed steadily to our cruising height of 35,000ft.Flight deck was very talkative giving lots of detail about the planned route, weather conditions both in-flight and at Larnaca and a promise to point out anything of interest on the way.

Cabin crew were a credit and provided two bar runs, a meal service, the usual tax-free goods trolley and they were always available for passenger requests. Meal served was a breakfast, which was very palatable and was provided using MyTravels new packaging system, including waste bag!

The flight was very smooth and we had great views of The Alps and parts of the Italian Coast.

Our approach into Larnaca was unusually via runway 04 and we touched down only 15 minutes late.

Overall a great flight experience. MyTravel are certainly setting high standards nowadays.

All that remained now was to face the cattle market that is Larnaca baggage reclaim.
