The flight out of East Midlands was slightly delayed, which was not a huge problem. We had our main problems in trying to get home. We were first to arrive at the airport to check in, but along with 7 other passengers, we were removed from the line and refused check in, due to not having booked through an agent. We had booked our flights through Freedom Flights/Excel Airways and the passengers allowed to check in were Olympic Holidays customers. Air Scandic had sent the wrong sized plane and as we were not protected by a large holiday tour company we were binned off. We ended up in Newcastle and returned home 10 hours late. We have requested compensation from Air Scandic, but they refuse to answer our emails, faxes and letters - it's a shame they don't have offices in the UK - for their customers anyway! I would not recommend this company to fly with, they do not care about their customers and it seems their planes get worse as the years go by.
