Taken October 2005 from London, England (Gatwick Airport) - LGW to Olbia, Sardinia (Costa Smeralda) - OLB

I fly a lot both within the UK, within Europe and Long Haul. This was my first Easy Jet flight, for a family holiday.

The first impression was that the staff seem younger than average compared to BA, BMI etc. I guess they would be less experienced and cheaper. Fortunately the ones I met where enthusiastic and cheerful - more so than on other airlines. The queue to check in was long, but fast moving. Our luggage was slightly over, but this passed unremarked. We were allowed to take our four year old's car booster seat as hand luggage.

The flight was 20 minutes, but given Europe's congested airways this is not remarkable. Having a four year old child we were allowed on the plnae first and could choose any seat (apart from the ones by the emergency exit which have the max legroom).

The plane was an Airbus 319. I wouldn't want to do a long haul flight in one - only two toilets + seats do not recline, but for a two hour flight no problem. The flight staff were good; they did not mind we had brought our own sandwiches rather than buy from the trolley (though trolley prices are reasonable). The flight was only 20% full if that which helped.

We got to Olbia just a few minutes late, which was good.

I would have no hesitation flying Easy Jet again. I also hired our car through the EasyJet car rental affaliate in Sardinia. However I used an alternative website to Easy Jet/Car Rental and got a cheaper rental price.
