Home > TAP Air Portugal > 2001 > ReviewTaken January 2001 from New York JFK to LisbonOverall, the flight was good. I am 6'3, so there wasn't enough room for me. On the way back, I lucked out though! I sat in the very back, in some sort of special seat most likely for medical occasions. It had like 4 feet of leg room! The food was alright, typical airline chow. Service was good. Never had to wait too long for snacks or drinks. We hooked up with $300 round trip tickets early (Was suppose to fly TWA.. but they decided not to fly to Portugal anymore.. so they set us up with TAP). The flight from JFK was delayed an hour, so that was lame. Flying to Lisbon went very quick though.. (6 hours).. The flight home took forever unfortunately! (8 hours) Damn Atlantic current :( Oh!!! One last thing that was really bad!! They wouldn't allow ANY sort of electronic devices.. No laptops, walk-mans, cell phones, games. So, for a 6+ hour flight, having to sneak my portable CD-player… made it a little worse. Happy traveling! Ben | ||
