Met a security agent who gave me all the forms I needed to complete. Check in was quick as there was only 5 people ahead of me in the queue, only problem with Buenos Aires is that you have to pay departure tax before you can leave and there is a labyrinth of security and passport control before you get to the gates. This took me 40 minutes going from person to person. Board gate was organised with the normal very long BA queue of eager passengers. Check in was swift and efficient when it started. Crew were friendly on boarding, took my seat by the window and had all three free to Sao Paulo. Flight departed on time and full food box was served with a very tasty snack plus full bar service. There was full movies, but as the flight was very short, 1 hour 30 minutes, people could not see all the movies; the purser apologised for this and turned them on whilst on the ground in Sao Paulo so we could see the end of them. Good selection of movies and programs on the flight. The layover in Sao Paulo was grand, which allowed time to stretch the legs. The flight was pretty full from Sao Paulo with a free seat beside me. Took off on time with good views of the airport and parts of the city. In-flight entertainment began and a full bar service was offered. A full meal was offered soon afterwards. One good thing,BA offers with their meal is a bottle of water, compared to the cup full other airlines give you. Plus they offer full drinks at dinner. Watch a few videos and then slept for a few hours, cabin lights were dimmed to help people get some kip with drinks and snacks laid out at the bulkheads for people to have a bit to eat. The seats were comfy with the footrest, and the extra seat was a real treat. Woke up about 2 hours before landing, was able to check a moving map where I was watching the sights of the Azores out of the window. Watched a few more programs and had breakfast about an hour before landing, which was tasty. Landed on time in Heathrow after great night view of London as we circled. Transfer to the terminal was quick and effortless. Overall BA is a great airline that offer the little extras which really make the flight. The crew are great and friendly! The meals and drinks great, comfy seats and good in-flight entertainment. Even down to the little things like the decent head phone and amenity kits in economy, make BA a great airline and good value for money at 900 euros. Okay, I could have saved and on gone on Iberia out of Dublin, but that would be more hassle and not much of saving by the time I am finished with the extra travel, great job BA. | ||
