Home > Air Berlin > ReviewTaken December 2005 from London (Stansted) - STN to Glasgow, Scotland (Abbotsichn) - GLAReturn ticket from Stansted to Glasgow for just over £40 all in, excellent value. Departure was delayed by 25 minutes due to a shortage of Servisair GlobeGround handling staff to load the plane. Annoying although I accept this was outside the control of the airline and to their credit the staff at the gate did apologise and keep us informed. On board, assigned seating was a pleasant surprise. I was in the aisle seat in row 6 and found the knee room to the seat in front a little cramped, but plenty of room for my feet to stretch out underneath the seat. Cabin crew were polite and offered a sweet on boarding and newspapers - quite a shock for an airline flying from Stansted - best of all was the free tea, coffee and a choice of two sandwiches which were actually very edible! Plenty of announcements keeping us up-to-date on progress and a handy moving map display on the video screens. Highly recommended for the value for money service and for the surreal experience of German being the first language used for all cabin announcements and the safety video on a UK domestic flight. | ||
