Taken August 2005 from London, England (Gatwick Airport) - LGW to Faro - FAO

First off, I stand 6'7" and I am a tolerant person when flying with these shoe-string airlines. You have to be at my height in these days. You get what you pay for.

This was my first (and last) flight with Monarch. On checking in at Gatwick (a dismal airport at the best of times IMHO) I found that the seats with leg room were for sale for an extra £15. I strongly object to this policy anyway - why should I, or anyone else, be penalised for their stature. What made me really wild was having attempted to sit in one of their 'seats' on the aircraft, it was excruciatingly painful.

Did the aircrew pay the slightest attention? No!

Did anyone suggest that I take the free emergency exit seat I could almost touch from my 'seat'? No!

Ever try and find somebody who you can meaningfully talk to about problems at Monarch? Ha!! All the management seem to be hiding from irate passengers behind ranks of ineffectual junior cannon fodder. Never again. Never ever.
