Taken January 2006 from Dallas/Fort Worth, TX (Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport) - DFW to Ciudad de Mexico (Mexico City) (Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juarez) - MEX
Lost a lot of trust in Aeromexico. I often fly from DFW to Mexico City and, when possible, I fly Aeromexico because its on-time record has been excellent as has its service. When I flew from DFW to MEX, it arrived early and service was great. What was incredibly disappointing was the return. Ten minutes before the flight, we were told the flight officer was absent. Then we were told the flight was cancelled. We had to rush all over the airport to pick up our luggage, rebook on American Airlines the next day, and get in the van to go to a hotel. At least Aeromexico paid for a hotel and a meal voucher. Most people had to go to a hotel about 30 minutes from the airport. Luckily, I was in a small group that got a hotel right next to the airport. The next day we flew home on American. Aeromexico was not very organized at all in providing for the passengers once the flight was cancelled. The Mexico City airport is huge and we were sent all over the airport to get luggage and make arrangements. I lost a lot of good will toward Aeromexico and I will not make an effort to book them over other airlines in the future as I have done in the past. |
