After a short delay in London Gatwick we departed for Windhoek on a new Airbus A340-300 at 22.00, 45 minutes late. A series of drinks we served shortly after takeoff, and followed by a surprisingly good meal. It consisted of very good chicken or beef with pasta or rice, salad, desert, cheese and biscuits, drink and chocolate. This was followed by more drinks, which this time included tea and coffee.

In terms of seating, they must have the widest econcomy class seats out of all the southern African airlines. They're so wide! Lots of Legroom (34") and pillows and blankets. Although their were no Personal TV's the overhead entertainment was very good, more than adequate. They came around regularly in the night with a tray of drinks. In the morning: drinks, a very good breakfast with juice, followed by more drinks with tea and coffee.

Flight was 5*.

A quick connection in Windhoek- very small, easy airport, walk across tarmac in the morning sun!!! After a 30minute delay because of the slightly late arrival of their overseas flight (mine from London Gatwick) we took off in a Boeing 737-200 advanced series jet. Again, very spacious and we were served with drinks, a hot meal (delicious again, savoury hot pancake) with Bil-tong and a desert followed by more drinks with Tea and Coffee. Smooth Landing into Cape Town just off schedule, having caught up some time.

Would recommend the airline to anyone. 5*! Fantastic. Relaxed, easy journey.

Flight back was the same, fantastic.

Would reccommend and fly with Air Namibia any day.
