Home > South African > 2006 > ReviewTaken 20 February 2006 from London, England (Heathrow Airport) - LHR to Cape Town (D.F. Malan) - CPTFlew to cape Town on the A340-600 which is about as comfortable as a park bench, although leg room not bad. Food poor, but worst of all were the cabin crew.Rude, ignorant and lazy.90mins out of Heathrow after the meal was served, pax were ordered to pull the window blinds down, the lights were turned off, the heating turned up to a high level and the seat belt signs switched on and remained on until cape town some 9 hours later. The crew then vanished, no water rounds, no one answering call buttons etc all night. On the odd occasion they appeared, when a lady took ill due to the heat, the cabin was so dark they had to use torches to get around!!.Was going to complain when I got off, but the crew vanished again and we got off by ourselves. Sorry, but SAA are not even up to the standard of a UK holiday charter and way off being an international carrier. Best avoided Sorry, but SAA have a long way. | ||
