Home > Northwest > 2006 > ReviewTaken 27 February 2006 from Amsterdam (Schiphol) - AMS to Anchorage, AK (Anchorage International Airport) - ANCOutbound flight from Amsterdam to Minneapolis was OK. They have in-seat entertainment and they are the only American carrier were you can have a beer or any alcoholic beverage without paying. That's a plus on a 9 hour flight. Food was OK, but by far not as good as the Asian carriers. Crew were OK, but not over enthusiastic. I guess now a days with all American carriers you just have to be lucky with the crew. Sometimes they are nice and other times they are rude, but Northwest is OK when you fly international. Minneapolis-Anchorage was a disgrace. No service, no entertainment, one drink run and a dirty plane on a 6 hours and ten minutes flight. Anchorage -Minneapolis the same story. Minneapolis-Amsterdam again was OK, but when I asked for a beer because I could not sleep the crew gave me look as if they had to pay it from there own pocket. Final Northwest is OK international, but if you fly transcontinental you better choose another carrier. I do not hope that Northwest executives really think they are going to save the airline with this level of cost cutting service. Makes me think of how TWA went down. | ||
