The aircraft, one of two which they operate, was nearly 17 years old (http://www.airfleets.net/ficheapp/plane-b757-24290.htm), which makes it old in UK standards, and it showed its age throughout the flight. Its engines were exceptionally noisy and appeared to strain during take off. Inside the cabin, the air-conditioning pounded, there was no in-flight entertainment, and the toilets were too few and very small. On top of that, FlyJet only has a 28/29inch seat pitch, which after deducting the thickness of the seat back, probably equates to the CAA minimum of 26inches - this is far too cramped on a long flight. I have travelled on many aircraft before, and this was undoubtedly the worst aircraft I have been on. I would not fly with FlyJet again, and would would not recommend this airline if asked. | ||
