Taken 2 February 2006 from Liverpool, England (Speke Airport) - LPL to Riga (Spilve) - RIX

As a pilot with another concern I flew on an Eirjet operated Ryanair flight, as a passenger, from Liverpool to Riga. The flight was punctual in both departure and arrival, out and return. The cabin services were to the highest standard possible from a service restrained by a Low Cost Carrier framework, and the cabin crew were amongst the friendliest on any airline I have experienced.

More importantly from a pilot point of view there were a number of safety procedures that were followed by the flight crew of this airline, that are often omitted from other flight crews practices. At the end of the day, is getting to the destination SAFELY not the ultimate goal of any flight. So what if Air Traffic Control (or other delays) have eaten a small chunk of your holiday? All contributors with comments on this airline are still alive to tell their tale, are they not!

All told, an excellent airline doing a good job in a cut throat industry.
