Taken 22 September 2005 from Sydney, New South Wales (Kingsford Smith) - SYD to Paris (Charles de Gaulle) - CDG

The service on board Korean Airlines is fine.

The food is a bit interesting - choose the western option if you are not used to Korean food or otherwise you might end up eating seaweed porridge or something for breakfast... Smells interesting too.

The entertainment was not very pleasant - mostly a video tape run over and over again showing a lady balancing suitcases on her feet and head?? Probably Korean humour I'd say. The movies were OK, but on big screen (no individual screens) and they were fairly old (or in Korean).

We had a stopover in Seoul on the way to Paris and they provided us with an overnight stay in the Hyatt Regency near the airport. That was a very nice touch of course - dinner and breakfast included - and nice rooms too! It makes such a difference flying between Australia and Europe if you can have a night's rest halfway.

The staff on board was friendly and spoke English quite well. They also came round with fresh water constantly.

About the drinks - try the Guava Juice - it's delicious! And exclusive to Korean Airlines I think, I've never seen it anywhere else!

The flights were very on time - so that is always appreciated.

The connection between Paris and Sydney (via Seoul) isn't that great with long waits on the way. Going to Paris (from Sydney) isn't too bad as you can stay overnight in Seoul for free, but coming back we had to wait for 5 or 6 hours for a connecting flight or something - and that is just not enough time for a day hotel. You can always go and do the free "fan painting" activity in Seoul airport though.
