Home > Air India > 2005 > ReviewTaken 28 December 2005 from Toronto, ON (Lester B. Pearson International Airport) - YYZ to Birmingham, England - BHXJust a warning to those who use Air India for their next vacation- you soon learn your lesson. And you will learn it the hard way. I recently used Air India for my flight to the United Kingdom for the New Year's holidays and was the worst flight experiences I have ever had. On my way to Birmingham, the flight was delayed by 8 hours and on my way back to Toronto, the flight was delayed by 5 hours, 4 of which we sat on the plane (without food or water, by the way). The delay was blamed on some cargo problems in the first few hours anf then an "air brake" in the last few hours. When we finally arrived in Toronto 13 hours after boarding the plane, the captain decided to tell as then that when there were problems with the cargo, they meant that they removed every single piece of luggage from the aircraft and left it at Birmingham airport. This means we had no luggage for who knows how long! Three days after arriving in Toronto, we got a call to tell us that our luggage had finally arrived, but the worst part was that we would have to come to the airport to pick up our luggage ourselves. In my experience with Air India, I faced total NEGLECT from this airline and I advise everyone out there to spend the extra bit of money and fly on another airline because if this was to happen again, at least you would get at least $1 worth of compensation. | ||
