Flight out to Sharm El Sheikh was fine, delayed about 20 minutes, but this was due to aircraft queueing up to take off which is acceptable, the staff were courteous and helpful and the overall experience was very pleasant.

The flight home was an absolute nightmare, we were due to depart on saturday afternoon at approx 6pm, we arrived at Sharm El Sheikh airport only to be told the flight had been cancelled as the plane was still in Manchester with mechanical problems and would be delayed by at least 24 hours, none of us had been told anything about this until we arrived at the airport. We were all left hanging around at the airport for around 4 hours, without being offered even a drink as flyjet had not authorised one for us, we were eventually taken to a "hotel" which was a very poor 2 star accomodation, the rooms were filthy, the grounds were mosquito ridden, overall a totally unacceptable place to stay, we still were not even offered a drink bearing in mind the temperature was well over 100 degrees.

We eventually made our own way to the hotel we had spent the last week in which was 5 star all inclusive and stayed the night there at our own expense, we also had to make our own way to the hotel the next day as flyjet would not authorise the coaches to pick us up at a different hotel. We eventually made it home 30 hours later than expected.

I have since spoke to flyjet on the phone and they have asked me to write in with my complaints. They have made it quite clear that they will not offer any compensation although they will take my comments on board.

Last time I fly with flyjet!!
