Taken 7 July 2006 from Alicante - ALC to Southampton, England (Eastleigh) - SOU

I flew with this airline for the second time between Alicante and Southampton, and was again fairly impressed with the service that I received.

The aircraft looked a tad on the dated side, and was fairly small compared to what other carriers use on such a route.

I was greeted onboard by a very friendly Scottish lad with a big smile, and directed to my seat. The crew came round after take off selling their usual drinks and snacks, which if I am honest are slightly over priced, however they do offer a good selection.

The crew worked hard during the flight inparticular the Purser who spent time chatting with other passengers, and assisting them whenever possible. On the whole the two stewards who were working at the front were excellent and really made the flight, and the Purser certainly had a good sense of humour and had that friendly Scottish humour.

On the downside was the fact that the aircraft was parked in the middle of the airport, resulting in us having to be taken out to it by bus. I fail to see why Flybe don't pay for an airbridge at Alicante.

Secondly, the two female crewmembers were not friendly or apporachable in anyway, neither of them smiled or seemed not to be interested in their job or the passengers in anyway. If it had not been for the two stewards who were warm and friendly, I along with other passengers would have left with a very different impression of Flybe, so well done to both of them.

All in, Flybe are a great carrier, and fly me back to my home town in the UK, which is great, saves me from having to go to Gatwick! Well done Flybe and thanks to the Scottish steward for such a great trip and making me feel very welcome!
