From what I remember, the trip from Buffalo to Tampa via Atlanta was good.

Before we boarded, we didn't know that Air Tran had satellite radio at every seat, and that they didn't bone us for the head phones. It was a pleasant surprise.

Our return trip was another issue, but one that Air Tran did quite well with. The return flight from Tampa to Atlanta landed within a few minutes of the scheduled time due to air traffic and weather. When the aircraft arrived at the gate, the jet way would not fit our particular aircraft. We were told that the gate is usually used by Air Canada.

By the time the aircraft was moved to another gate, we had missed our connecting flight, and being the end of a vacation week, we would have to fly stand-by for any flight on any airline that day. That wasn't going to cut it with 3 kids in tow, so after much confusion, we were offered 1 night accommodations at the Marriott nearby with transportation there and back, food vouchers for lunch, dinner, and next day breakfast, as well as small toiletry items as our bags left without us. In addition, we received inconvenience vouchers /free tickets, good for 1 year. We were also confirmed on the first flight out the next morning.

I thought Air Tran handled our situation very well. I am flying to Seattle in 3 days on Air Tran and hope to report more positive news.
