Home > Southwest > 2006 > ReviewTaken 8 July 2006 from Chicago, IL (Chicago Midway Airport) - MDW to Denver, CO (Denver International Airport) - DVXThe flight had engine problems just after take off, rather scary, flames from the exhaust of one engine. Had to return to midway. Flight crew and cabin staff were calm and reassuring. Expected a long delay for repairs or change of aircraft. However within 30 minutes we were airborne in a replacement aircraft. Cabin staff were efficient and friendly and food (snacks, coffee) was all that could be expected on a budget airline. Comfort was very good with more leg room than on many more expensive airlines. A few days after the return journey we received a letter of apology for the inconvenience and a pair of complimentary open tickets. While the initial engine problems were not very pleasant, to say the least, I was very satisfied with my experience with Southwest and will certainly fly with them again. | ||
