Taken 26 July 2006 from London, England (Heathrow Airport) - LHR to Aberdeen, Scotland (Dyce) - ABZ

The outward flight was virtually full, but the return was very quiet with only 25% of seats occupied. On the outward journey the flight was slightly delayed due to late arrival of the aircraft due to operate flight. Return flight left ahead of schedule and arrived 20 minutes early. BA provide a meal and drinks service on this flight and the chicken salad (+ dessert) was well presented and tasty, but it would have been nice to have something different on the return. A couple of things spoiled these flights. The cabin crew on the outward flight were rather careless and not up to the usual BA standards - I counted 3 times they dropped trays of food in the aisles which were looking rather a mess by the time we landed. On the lightly loaded return flight the meal and drink service was done with undue haste so the cabin crew could disappear for the rest of the flight. Another minor irritation was that the BA in-flight magazine "High Life" was missing from most seat pockets on the return sector and those that were available were out of date. On the outward journey in the 4 seats that my family occupied - 2 copies of the magazine were badly damaged with pages and covers torn off and missing and the other 2 copies were unreadable as the pages were all stuck together due to coffee or some other substance being spilled over them. While the flight was good value and still provides extras that other airlines don't - BA needs to watch its standards.
