Taken 21 July 2006 from Sanaa (Sana'a) (El Rahaba) - SAH to Kuala Lumpur, International - KUL2

I flew two weeks ago from Sana'a to Kuala Lumpur via Bahrain with my family of

six. It was a total nightmare starting with the check-in counter. They

messed up the seating arrangements and claimed we didn't have reservations. They took 45 minutes (after waiting in line for 40 minutes) just to check us in because their reservation system wouldn't work. I had booked seats a week ahead

and we were all separated on both flights - 12 hours in total.

We were flying on economy and the food, service, handling, airport transfer were atrocious. The

flight was delayed at every point and the transit through Bahrain airport

was chaotic with about 150 people crowding at 3 desks. It was so bad that I decided to purchase new tickets on Emirates airline for the return sector from Kuala Lumpur. Emirates was a world apart, child meals, professional ground staff, on time everything, kind cabin crew, excellent connections, in seat entertainment, etc.

I would not fly Gulf Air if I got free tickets for me and my family for life!
