Reasonable flight for the money, and check-in at Gatwick was flawless and friendly. Things went badly downhill in Doha where we changed planes - long queues for everything i.e. security, passport control, departures, toilets etc. Airport currently has poor facilities, is overcrowded, hot and many flights (including ours) seemed to be delayed on both the outward and return stopovers. My experience of Doha airport was the same on a previous flight to Bangkok with Qatar Airways and I remember vowing to seek an alternative route in future! However, as with many airports in the region, expansion seems to be taking place and perhaps this will ease the hassle of changing planes in Doha. I guess the hassle at Doha is the price you pay for an indirect flight which is generally a much cheaper option than flying direct from London to Bangkok.

Aircraft were clean and modern, the food reasonable, but trying to get a second alcoholic drink on the Doha-London flight was almost impossible and we were treated with deep suspicion and almost hostility by the male cabin attendant when a second mini-beer was requested! In-flight entertainment reasonable - none of the films were to my liking (not a criticism of the airline) but the games kept me amused. I would probably fly with Qatar again if I was forced to, but the Doha experience both on the way out and the return trip made what would normally be a tiring flight an utterly exhausting experience and I would therefore avoid in future unless I had absolutely no choice.
